How stunning is THIS playspace that was hand knitted by hand by Toshiko Horiuchi Macadam?!? This is part of the permanent collection of the Hakone Open-Air Museum in Japan called Woods of Net.

That's right, there are a new pair of leggings in town and they are dope! Polkadot Whatallows girls to express themselves in whatever way they want by way of interactive design that leads to their individual expression. Not to mention the selection graphics are supa cute. AND, for every one creation and purchase of a pair of Polkadot What leggings, $1 will be donated to provide two school lunches to two children in South Africa through theLunchbox Fund - a non-profit organization that provides daily meals to impoverished school children in South Africa. Whoot!

M'kay, so the guys over at Porsche got wise to the baby making game and came out with The Porsche Design P'4911 stroller ... and it's not that bad ... but is it comfortable and able to 'corner like it's on rails?'

Sometimes I get real giddy when I see beautifully fun minimal design. I believe the Serpent Modular Shelving from Bashko Trybek hits that spot.

for all you guys! I know my posts have been really few and far between. Life, family and work have taken my full attention these days. One project that I am in the final stages of, is for 2 brothers and their individual bedrooms. I'm going to share a sneak peak of J's room. The pics are a bit rough but you'll get the idea. He's part time rock star, part time basketball player and full time energy. I wanted to make a space that could adapt to his particular interests. This custom unit features a high-loft that you can turn into a lounge area or bed. Below can serve as a bed as well that is on casters in case he wants to move the bed position. Or, if he kept his bed up top, the platform turns into a giant play table. There is also a sliding hanging guitar panel to keep them safe and sound when not in use. He has tons of built-in storage and lighting through-out! Did I mention the basketball court as well?? I'll share some pics from G's room soon! Cheers -jenn

How dope are these high gloss wooden 'magical beans'? Form and function, with a dash of modern beauty that both child and adult could enjoy.

Last summer I was approached, by the fine people at Appaman, to come up with the Retail Concept that could translate into a brick and mortar, a section inside a department store or stand alone kiosk. The direction was to create a balance of Scandinavian design mixed with a hint of vintage, a dash of modern and a nod to NYC street style. I am very happy to announce that Appaman HK just opened it's doors in Central Hong Kong! Below is where the project started and then to it's grand opening only weeks ago! More images HERE.
THIS stacking chair throne from Laurens Van Wierigen is kinda rocking my world right now.

The Loog Guitar is a D.I.Y kit from Rafael Atijas. His kickstarter campaign is going amazingly well! . Its a real guitar, that plays real music! The kit is intended to bond parent and child to build and create music! Given the success already on Kickstarter, you can pre-order your kit for $150. Money well spent i'd say.

Wow. This is a stellar example of maximizing space with a hugh dash of well-considered design. The challenge was to turn a 2 bedroom apartment into a comfortable and functional space for a family with 4 kids! Bravo MihaDesign Studio! (via BB) Photos : Sadao Hotta

Ive been working with some clients as of late, where toy storage has been high on the to-tackle list. Here are two gems that I wanted to pass along! One is the Kartel Componibili Laundry Basket. Yes, a clothes hamper turned into a dope tabletop with a pull-out storage bin! The second is THIS felt bin from Muuto. Oh la la!
