strollers

kids need strollers like parents need a glass of wine between the hours of 6pm-8pm....give or take a few hours before and after. i live in brooklyn. here in the fertile cresent, the likes of the bugaboo, stokke and the quinny are more and more likely to make their way down our tree lined streets than the maclaren. urgh. its gone from status symbol to the average norm. i'd like to see more of these :

this prototype comes from stephen procter. i contacted this very nice gentleman, only to discover that they have no production date as of yet. i will keep you posted. (UPDATE BLOOM IS PRODUCING THIS LINE. LOOK FOR IT SPRING OF '08)

bassinets

what better way to start the birth of our blog than with the bassinet. it's the first place your baby sleeps through the night....if your lucky. i have started my own fan club of designers that have really hit the modern nail on the head. here are just a few:

first, the bloom bassinet. the little prototype was created by natalie keville. i really dig this design. not only is it a bassinet, it's a co-sleeper, a rocker and a recliner!

next up is culla belly. this hails from italian designers manuela busetti and andrea garuti. this fresh design also transforms from co-sleeper to bassinet to rocker. it also just scored first prize at playing design.

for our third entry, we give you a slightly more affordable choice. the recyclable cardboard cot. this rocker is brought to you by kids gallery. the design seekers behind the little fashion gallery.

oh yeah, if the cot is not your style, try this customizable cot. my question, how do you clean it?

for our fourth selection, (and these are in no particular order) is the knoppa. it hangs, it swings. we love it!
