I'm blessed to have so many people come to my little blog everyday. I thought I would go personal with this post and give you a peek inside one of the rooms in my home that is far cooler than my office... my daughter's bedroom.

Puri
Thanks Puri. The desk and chair are both ebay finds. The desk is a 1950's toddler/pre-school desk and the chair is a vintage Harry Bertoia Child's Chair. Cheers!
thanks for leting us take a look around your daughter's room! i like the bed with the drapes and the lights.
ps: i just wrote a post about that magnetic theater i'm seeing on your shelf yesterday. funny!
thanks so much for all your kind words. i hate to go sappy here but im pretty lucky to have a daughter like her so it was really fun to create this room for her.
chris m - glad you like it. i was afraid of going too girly purple. i really wanted to achieve a 1950's french flea market feel. i went with Benjamin Moore's Purple Rain : #1386 in interior eggshell latex. when selecting paint, half is in the name in my opinion. and if it's good enough for Prince, then it's certainly good in my book! (here is the custom breakdown from Lowes 101-16 , 102-7.5 , 113-1Y1 , 115-43)
Fabulous room! This is a room both adults and children can appreciate. I can see this room growing with your daughter. Would you mind sharing the source for that wonderful rug? Thanks.
laurie, thanks so much. i do hope she enjoys growing up in this space. although i do tend to change things up often. i got really lucky with the rug actually. i found it on clearance at urban outfitters of all places. it was never on their website. i just got really lucky with that one.
Jennifer, the room decor is brilliant! I think the rug ties everything together and gives the room this exotic look. Could you please tell me where you found this fabulous rug and what its name is?
